• Warranty- The manufacturer's warranty is only one aspect of the equipment warranty, many manufacturers offer warranties up to 10 years on parts to the original purchaser, when the equipment is registered within 60-90 days of installation. The second part is the labor warranty. The labor warranty is provided by the installing contractor and is typically a one-year labor warranty. Extended warranties are available for up to 10 years, but extended warranties are usually provided by a third-party insurer. The manufacturer and the insurers, generally require yearly equipment maintenance. Without this maintenance, you could void your parts and labor warranty.
